About The Role
As Sales Manager, you will lead the front‐of‐house sales team, partnering closely with the Store Manager and Customer Service Manager to deliver strong commercial results and an exceptional customer experience from pre‐purchase through to after‐sales support. This leadership role is ideal for someone who enjoys coaching teams in real time, driving performance, and building capability within a large‐format retail environment. With a team of approximately 15–20 direct reports, this role plays a critical part in shaping a sales‐focused culture on the shop floor while ensuring operational excellence and a seamless customer journey.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and inspire a large sales team to deliver profitable sales growth
* Coach and develop team members using structured performance and development frameworks
* Identify training gaps and support succession planning and talent development
* Drive a customer‐first culture, ensuring a seamless pre‐ and post‐purchase experience
* Monitor and report on sales performance, category results, and key KPIs
* Maintain strong visual merchandising standards, planograms, and in‐store marketing execution
* Contribute to store financial performance through inventory management, labour planning, and expense control
* Ensure all operations meet compliance and legislative requirements, including consumer law and safety
* Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 2+ years' experience in retail leadership
* Strong track record of sales performance and team development
* A hands‐on leader who enjoys being present on the shop floor
* Experience managing larger teams in fast‐paced retail environments
* Strong operational capability including P&L awareness, reporting, and store standards
* Passion for delivering a high‐quality customer experience
