Our client are a leading not-for-profit dedicated to enhancing the mental health and well-being of individuals in the Upper Hunter Regional. Our client operates a dynamic Mental Health and Alcohol & Other Drugs (AOD) Hub, offering comprehensive services to support individuals struggling with mental health challenges and substance abuse issues.
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Practitioner to oversee clinical practice. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care, and ensuring the provision of evidence-based interventions to meet the diverse needs of your clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide clinical oversight to a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychologists, counselors, social workers, and allied health clinicians.
2. Oversee the planning, development, and implementation of client-centered treatment plans and interventions, ensuring alignment with best practice guidelines and evidence-based approaches.
3. Establish and maintain effective partnerships with community organisations, healthcare providers, and relevant stakeholders to facilitate seamless coordination of care and access to resources for clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
4. Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA, SSAW OR PAFA/ACA) as a psychologist, social worker, counselor, or other relevant allied health profession.
5. Extensive clinical experience in the field of mental health and/or alcohol and other drugs, with a demonstrated ability to provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based interventions.
6. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
7. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines governing the provision of mental health and AOD services in Australia.
