About the Role
We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Safety Advisors to join our team to support our existing and upcoming projects in the North West of WA. This role is a full-time position where you will be working on a 2:1 (14 days on/7 days off) FIFO Roster, collaborating with project delivery teams to ensure compliance to DTI policies/procedures and statutory responsibilities across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support operations to execute HSE initiatives.
* Implement HSE policy, procedures & standards through training, coaching and regular communication.
* Identify continuous improvement opportunities and assist with solution development and implementation.
* Coach local managers to develop and review HSE management plans and risk registers consistent with site/project needs.
* Coach operational teams with sub-contractor management requirements including SWMS, ATWPs, completion of inductions, participation in pre-starts, conduct of daily plant check sheets and compliance with HSEMPs.
* Cultivate a positive health and safety culture.
About You
* Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a similar role within the Tier 1 construction industry.
* Ability to evaluate information quickly, identifying key issues and formulate conclusions based on sound judgement.
* Capacity to work under broad direction, exercise initiative and innovate problem solving approaches.
* Certificate IV Training and Assessing desirable.
* Lead ICAM Incident Investigation required.
