Our team is seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join us as a Fish Ecologist. The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking underwater monitoring field work, producing high-quality peer-reviewed publications, and contributing to the planning, coordination, and execution of field work.
The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in marine ecology and extensive work experience in the biology and ecology of reef fishes, particularly in a fieldwork setting. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders are essential.
The role involves working closely with researchers from diverse backgrounds, developing and implementing new projects, and contributing to existing ones. The candidate must be able to demonstrate well-developed knowledge of coral reef ecosystems, particularly non-cryptic, diurnal coral reef fishes to species level.
