Due to a growing pipeline of exciting new developments, we're looking for a motivated Junior or Cadet Contract Administrator to join our Sunshine Coast team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone eager to grow their career within a supportive, experienced construction environment.
The Role
Working closely with project manager and site teams, you'll gain hands-on experience in all facets of contracts administration and project delivery. Responsibilities will include:
* Assisting with procurement, drafting scopes, and preparing subcontractor packages
* Supporting tendering, negotiation, and contract review processes
* Drafting variations, claims, RFIs, and managing document control
* Monitoring project budgets, progress claims, and cost tracking
* Helping ensure compliance with Building and Development Approval conditions
* Using construction management software (Procore, 1Breadcrumb)
* Supporting the site team with scheduling, reporting, and quality assurance
* Learning to identify and manage commercial and contractual risks
The Person
You'll be an enthusiastic, detail-oriented team player who's ready to learn and contribute. To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
* Tertiary qualifications (or currently studying) in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
* Some previous experience (cadet or junior level) in commercial or residential building projects
* A sound understanding of Australian Standard building contracts (or willingness to learn)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Strong computer literacy and attention to detail
* A proactive attitude, local knowledge of the Sunshine Coast, and full Australian working rights
