As we move forwards throughout 2026 we are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Safety Compliance Manager to join our growing team.
As an ISO-certified organisation, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards in safety, quality, and environmental management. We deliver a wide range of civil infrastructure projects, many of which Civelite undertakes as the Principal Contractor, requiring strong leadership and rigorous compliance oversight.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring full compliance with workplace health and safety legislation, company policies, ISO standards, and industry best practices across all projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, implement, and maintain WHS policies and procedures
* Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation
* Oversee WHS obligations where Civelite is acting as Principal Contractor
* Maintain and continuously improve our ISO-certified management systems
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
* Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
* Manage subcontractor safety compliance and documentation
* Facilitate safety training and toolbox talks
* Maintain accurate safety reporting and records
* Promote a strong safety culture across all project teams
Requirements:
* Relevant qualification in Work Health & Safety (Certificate IV or Diploma minimum)
* Proven experience in a safety role within the civil construction industry
* Demonstrated experience supporting projects where acting as Principal Contractor
* Strong knowledge of current WHS legislation and compliance standards
* Experience working within ISO-certified systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work across multiple sites
* Current driver’s licence
Desirable:
* Lead Auditor qualification
* First Aid certification
* Experience managing integrated management systems
