About the Role
Paramount Browns' Retail Division at Gepps Cross are seeking an organised and detail-driven Inventory Controller to support our retail operations by ensuring accurate stock levels across our stores. This role plays a key part in reducing shrinkage, improving stock availability, and supporting sales performance through effective inventory management.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate inventory records across retail stores and warehouse locations.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure product availability and minimise overstock.
• Conduct regular stocktakes, cycle counts, and variance investigations.
• Identify and address shrinkage, damaged stock, and inventory discrepancies.
• Liaise with management, stores, and sales teams.
• Manage stock transfers between stores and distribution center.
• Ensure correct pricing, labelling, and barcode accuracy.
• Prepare inventory and shrinkage reports for management.
Skills & Experience
• Previous experience in a retail inventory, stock control, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of retail stock flow and shrinkage prevention.
• Experience with POS and inventory systems.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Confident working with Excel and inventory reports.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with store teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Desirable
• Experience in multi-store or high-volume retail.
• Knowledge of loss prevention practices.
• Certificate or training in Retail, Supply Chain, or Business.
