Job Description
The Senior Contract Manager will lead the administration and strategic oversight of complex procurement contracts. From early planning through to project completion, they'll ensure contracts are aligned with legislative and commercial obligations, delivering value for money, and driving outcomes that benefit the South Australian community.
This is more than just a technical contract management role – it's a leadership opportunity. The Senior Contract Manager will advise on contract strategy, negotiation, and risk management, working alongside legal, finance, project delivery teams, and external stakeholders to navigate challenges and ensure accountability at every stage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Extensive experience in managing end-to-end contract processes, from procurement strategy to contract execution and performance oversight.
* Sound knowledge of contract law, statutory obligations, and government procurement frameworks, paired with the judgement to apply them effectively in real-world scenarios.
* Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the confidence to influence decision-makers, manage risk, and resolve high-stakes issues with clarity and composure.
* A forward-thinking mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and public sector value.
