Job Opportunity

The delivery of the Sydney Metro - Western Sydney Airport line is a transformative infrastructure project that will shape the future of transport in Western Sydney. The Parklife consortium, in partnership with the NSW Government, is leading this initiative, connecting communities and creating lasting benefits for the region.


The Role

We are seeking a Rail Safety Coordinator to support the delivery of rail safety legislative requirements on the SSTOM project. The successful candidate will work closely with Rail Safety Managers to ensure compliance with safety accreditation processes and systems.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing administrative and technical support to ensure compliance with safety accreditation processes and systems.
* Assisting in preparing and maintaining key documentation, including the Safety Accreditation Plan and Safety Management System (SMS).
* Monitoring and supporting compliance obligations for the Rail Infrastructure Manager (RIM).
* Entering and maintaining rail safety data, including notifiable occurrences, in the ONRSR portal.
* Collecting, analysing, and preparing rail safety statistics, performance data, and reports.
* Supporting the scheduling and documentation of rail safety audits and inspections.
* Contributing to risk mitigation monitoring and promoting a positive rail safety culture across the project.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Tertiary qualifications in Rail Safety, WHS, OHS, or a related discipline.
* Minimum 2+ years' experience in a Rail Safety Coordinator role, preferably within a Tier 1 contractor or large infrastructure project.
* Strong knowledge of rail safety legislation, systems, and accreditation processes.
* Experience with rail compliance monitoring and risk mitigation practices.
* White Card - Construction Induction.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* RIW card (desirable).
* First Aid & CPR (preferable).
* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
