What you willdo as a Director in the Digital IDDivision

TheDigital ID Divison is looking for individuals who are passionateabout supporting the needs of Australians through trust,inclusivity and choice through digital IDservices.

As theDigital ID Regulator, the ACCC has a crucial role in building trustin digital ID services and is responsible for promoting compliancewith the Digital ID Act and related legislation by government andprivate sector stakeholders. This includes accrediting entities toprovide Digital ID services under the Digital ID legislation,approving entities to participate in the Australian GovernmentDigital ID System, undertaking compliance monitoring, andenforcement activities for the non-privacy aspects of the DigitalID legislation, and providing guidance and information tostakeholders to support understanding of the Digital ID legislationand the Digital ID Regulator’s functions.

As aDirector in the Digital ID Division, you will lead and develop ahigh-performing team to deliver critical work to meet theDivision's objectives.

We haveimmediate vacancies for Director roles in the followingteams:

* ProductDevelopment: aligns business goals with user needs,sets the product strategy and roadmap, and drives delivery offeatures using business analysis, user insights, andstakeholder collaboration.
* Operations,Data and Delivery: provides technology operations,data analysis, and delivery management to ensure systemreliability, support change and incident management, and enabledata-driven decision-making and continuousimprovement.
* Accreditation:accredits entities to provide Digital ID services under theDigital ID legislation. The legislated voluntary accreditationscheme includesstrong privacy, cyber security, and fraudprotections which are assessed as part of the accreditationprocess. In addition to assessing applications foraccreditation, the Accreditation team also manage the annualreview requirements of accredited entities.

Therecruitment process will establish a merit pool and may be used tofill future ongoing and non-ongoing positions that may also arisein the other teams in the Division, including:

* StakeholderEngagement: supports the ACCC’s role as the Digital IDRegulator through building maintaining and utilising effectiveengagement channels including with participating entities,consumers and businesses. The team develops our overallengagement strategies and supports the application processes,change management, education and outreachactivities.
* Guidanceand Policy: develops and makes available publicguidance and information in relation to accredited and approvedentities’ obligations, regulatory processes, and the carryingout of the Digital ID Regulator’s functions or the exercise ofits powers. The team also has a policy co-ordination andadvocacy role including in response to formal consultationprocesses.
* Approvals:maintains and oversees the Australian Government Digital IDSystem (AGDIS). The Digital ID Regulator is responsible forapproving entities to participate in the AGDIS. In addition toassessing applications for approval to participate, theApprovals team engages regularly with other governmentstakeholders including the Office of the System Administratorwhich is responsible for managing the availability of the AGDISand other related operational functions.
* Complianceand Enforcement: undertakes compliance andenforcement activities under the Digital ID legislation,engaging with regulatory partners and stakeholders, andcontributing expert advice on policy matters related tocompliance and enforcement issues.
* Strategy,Governance and Coordination: supports strategicinitiatives, governance, and coordination across the Division,ensuring alignment with broader agency priorities and effectivedelivery of the Digital ID Regulator System.

Aboutyou

In orderto succeed in the role, you will have:

* Ademonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, includingproviding direction, coaching, and performance management.Experience in fostering a positive and inclusive workenvironment.
* Anability to develop and implement strategic plans that alignwith organisational goals. Experience in translating strategicobjectives into actionable plans and outcomes.
* Excellentcommunication skills, with the ability to convey complexinformation clearly to diverse audiences. Experience inengaging and managing relationships with stakeholders atvarious levels.
* Proven ability toidentify problems, develop solutions, and make decisions thatdrive organisational success. Experience in managing risks andbalancing competing priorities.
* Experience inensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, andregulations; and the ability to establish and maintaineffective governance frameworks.
* Ability to driveinnovation and continuous improvement within the team ororganisation with experience in implementing new ideas orprocesses that enhance performance.
