Duties:
You’ll carry out a range of formwork and general carpentry tasks across our commercial, industrial, and residential projects — no two sites are the same!
- Formwork and concreting for slabs, columns, and walls
- Steel and timber framing
- Footings, hold-down bolts, cladding, and flooring
- Commercial and residential fit-outs
- Maintenance and defect work
You’ll also:
- Work with steel, concrete, and timber
- Read and interpret plans and drawings
- Operate tools and equipment safely
- Follow all site safety procedures
- Work effectively in a team and adapt to rapid-paced environments
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced Formwork Carpenters
- Safety-focused and detail-oriented
- Motivated with a strong work ethic
- Professional and team-oriented
- Capable of working unsupervised when required
- Eager to grow and progress your career
- Trade Qualification in Carpentry
- Construction White Card (or ability to obtain)
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport (travel across SEQ required)

- Tool Allowance: Up to $2,000 per financial year (reimbursed with receipts for standard trade tools)
- PPE Allowance: $500 per financial year (reimbursed with receipts for standard PPE)
- Health & Fitness Subsidy: $250 per year (toward gym, activewear, saunas, fishing gear, etc.)
- Birthday Leave: 1 paid day off in addition to 4 weeks’ annual leave and 10 days’ sick leave
- Banked Hours: Any hours worked beyond 38 in a week may be banked to take as paid leave or paid out later
- Paid Travel Time: For work on sites more than 40km from your base McNab office
