Estimator - Residential Construction Canberra, ACT | ️ Full-Time Permanent Role $90K-$130K Super | Work Across Multiple States from ACT Base An exciting opportunity has opened for an experienced Estimator to join a leading construction team delivering residential projects across multiple states - all from a well-established base in the ACT. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, tenders, and purchase orders, while supporting project management and construction teams with expert programming and cost control. ✨ Key Responsibilities : Prepare detailed construction estimates and budgets using the Databuild system. Maintain a database of material and labour costs. Prepare tender documents and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain and negotiate quotes. Produce accurate purchase orders based on construction documentation. Track variances against original estimates and update job cost reports. Identify cost savings through review of materials, designs, and construction techniques. Assist Construction Managers and site teams with project delivery support. Review and update budgets based on actual cost reports and supervisor feedback. Research sustainable and cost-effective building materials and techniques. Support timely processing of client variations according to company policy. Uphold WHS standards and company policies across all responsibilities. About You : Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Building & Construction, or Quantity Surveying (AIQS-accredited courses highly valued). Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction industry. Strong understanding of bid, tender, and procurement processes. High attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Excellent communication skills to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. White Card and current Driver's Licence.
