Principal Power Systems EngineerJoining our team means you'll be part of something that really matters.
As our Principal Power Systems Engineer, you will be based in Bentley, and be a critical team member responsible for driving optimisation across our systems.
This is a two year full-time position.
Your role will include:• Leading the technical elements of a strategic initiative to optimise our energy systems performance• Defining what 'good' looks like for each energy system overall – our generation, storage, renewable and network assets – both today and as future energy systems, so we can optimise performance whilst meeting reliability requirements• Completing and coordinating foundational studies to guide the development of business cases, as well as support commercial aspects of emerging programs of work including the creation of accurate well informed estimates• Developing and delivering programs of work to improve automation and integration to achieve efficient, intelligent, self-healing energy systems that can deliver significant cost savings and improvements to reliability• Coordination of supporting consultants and contractors to achieve outstanding results• General support to the broader operational and engineering team on technical matters which help support tangible results in the form of reliability, efficiency and safety of our energy systemsYou will have: • Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Excellent technical writing capability• Relevant Engineering Degree is the minimum requirement• Extensive working knowledge of system planning, with focus on Energy systems (generation, transmission, and distribution) planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance• Business and financial analysis evaluation principles and methodologies• Well-developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills• Sound knowledge of coordinating key elements of energy systems (generation, transmission, distribution, storage and renewable technology)• Sound knowledge of energy system planning principles, energy system modelling and financial analysis evaluation principlesOur employees enjoy real rewards and recognition including:• Working on impressive renewable energy projects across WA• Helping to create a connected and thriving WA• An extensive rewards and recognition program• Access to our award-winning health and wellbeing program• Flexible working arrangementsOur workplace culture is created through every interaction, every experience and everything we do.
