Overseeing the lifecycle of a sector strengthening project is a key responsibility for this role.
The job involves leading stakeholder relationships and service contract management, working closely with executive leadership and senior leaders from member organisations, designing and establishing an investment model for remote Aboriginal communities, and leading a program that includes activities such as developing an engagement framework/strategy, identifying priority areas and investment streams, designing plans for priority areas, creating a programme structure and funding guidelines, and setting up oversight structures, decision-making processes, and accountability mechanisms.
This position requires a strong background in program design and delivery, particularly for large-scale projects. The ideal candidate should be able to engage and build trust across multiple stakeholders, including governments, member organisations, and local communities. They must also have a deep understanding of Aboriginal cultures, customs, and community dynamics, as well as proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage competing priorities.
