The project work will involve both experimental investigations and theoretical modelling, with a view to obtain and publish original and innovative results in leading refereed journals, present research at academic seminars and at national and international conferences, and collaborate with other researchers within TMOS and beyond.This position will be based at the Research School of Physics, ANU, accountable to Prof. Andrey Sukhorukov and Director of the School.The PersonWe are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher with an interest and capacity to perform cutting-edge experimental and theoretical investigations in the areas of quantum optics, nanophotonics, and metasurfaces.We are looking for a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to quickly develop productive, professional relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.Highly developed organisational skills andeffective self-management are also important.Leveraging meta-optics, TMOS will create miniaturized optical systems surpassing current capabilities, addressing nanoscale challenges in light generation, manipulation, and detection.The ANU College of Science and Medicine encompasses the following disciplines: Astronomy and Astrophysics, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Sciences, Physics, Medicine and Psychology, and Medical Research.
