About the role
We're thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Design Architect to become an integral part of our Sydney studio. The ideal candidate is a confident, well-rounded design leader with strong conceptual skills and Revit expertise. This role will suit someone who has proven ability to manage complex projects and collaborate with project teams to deliver outstanding results.
Key responsibilities:
* Drive design excellence across diverse project typologies, ensuring a consistent high standard of architectural innovation and aesthetic rigor
* Contribute to the studios' design culture, including design reviews, workshops critiquing work-in-progress, and fostering an environment of continuous learning
* Participate in feasibility studies and concept design proposals
* Represent the firm in external design review panels, industry forums, and competitions
* Lead the delivery of design outcomes, ensuring high-quality documentation and seamless coordination
* Develop and present design materials for client meetings, competitions, and stakeholder reviews
* Collaborate with Directors to bridge the gap between creative vision, functional requirements, and commercial viability
* Demonstrate mastery in 3D modelling and visualisation tools (e.g., Revit, Enscape) to iterate designs rapidly
* Integrate sustainable design principles and high-performance building strategies into every project stage, beyond just compliance
* Mentor junior and intermediate staff, providing guidance on design methodology and professional development
* Translate complex briefs into compelling concept narratives and visual presentations that resonate with clients and stakeholders
* Negotiate and navigate complex stakeholder environments, including local authorities and community groups, to secure project buy-in
About you:
* Passion for design and creativity
* A minimum of 6 years experience working as a Project Architect or Design Lead in a similar role
* Experience in running a project team
* Revit/Enscape proficiency essential
* Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
* Proven experience working on advanced design projects
