Job Description
As theLocal IT TechnicianatGameloft Brisbane, you will offer internal tech support to studio teams (artists, designers, programmers, administrative staff, etc.) to ensure the proper functioning of their workstations, network and server infrastructure, telemetry, application suites, video conferencing setups, mobile devices and will also provide production support.
From the beginning of your journey with us you will be:
* Providing first line PC and Macbook support; troubleshooting hardware, software and peripherals via ticketing queues, email and direct correspondence,
* Installing and maintaining applications and current operating systems,
* Completing and assisting global IT Operation teams with infrastructure maintenance,
* Installing and deploying technical hardware including PCs, Macbooks, iOS devices, printers, mobiles and VoIP phones,
* Managing and maintaining virtualized servers and infrastructure,
* Automating tasks and identifying process improvements,
* Documenting and preparing FAQs for studio staff and IT teams,
* Managing the inventory of IT equipment and licenses,
* Managing the inventory of mobile devices,
* Sending and receiving equipment to/from other studios and remote employees,
* Installing and updating mobile games and operating systems on various mobile devices,
* Liaising with global teams on behalf of the studio for support,
* Assisting the Local IT Manager where required.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a computer technician in a technical support role,
* Experience and excellent knowledge of MS products (Windows 11, Office 365 and Visual Studio),
* Understanding of networking protocols (TCP, UDP, DNS, TLS, HTTP, FTP, SMB, etc.),
* Working knowledge of public key cryptography, certificate chains and signatures,
* Experience with powershell scripting,
* Knowledge of the mobile market (devices, iOS and app stores),
* Willing and able to complete physical tasks, such as lifting and racking servers, assisting with desk relocations, shifting workstations, etc,
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills,
* Excellent sense of analysis and able to solve complex configuration problems,
* Able to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment,
* Highly motivated, proactive and able to work independently,
* Keeping up to date on technology trends and new releases, specifically related to high performance workstations in a windows environment.
Advantageous Experience:
* Knowledge of gaming development processes, game engines and content creation software.
* Understanding of version control systems such as Git and Perforce,
* Knowledge of AV equipment including audio mixing,
* Experience with enterprise-class deployment and inventory applications,
* Experience with enterprise-class antivirus solutions,
* Experience with enterprise-class WiFi,
* Experience with the Atlassian suite (Confluence and Jira),
* Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or related experience.
