The Great Southern Hotel team are looking for a friendly, energetic, and reliable Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. In addition to preparing and serving drinks, this role involves taking food orders, coordinating with the kitchen, and running food to guests when necessary.
Bartending & Beverage Service:
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with recipes and customer preferences.
Maintain a clean and organised bar area.
Check patron identification to ensure legal drinking age.
Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service.
Maintain inventory of bar supplies and notify manager of low stock.
Customer Service:
Greet guests promptly and professionally.
Take food and drink orders accurately and relay them to POS system.
Food Service:
Input food orders into the POS system and ensure kitchen receives accurate details.
Run food from the kitchen to the bar or dining areas when needed.
Assist servers and support staff during peak times to ensure timely service.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
Clean bar surfaces, tools, glassware, and workstations regularly.
Restock bar and service stations with supplies, napkins, condiments, etc.
Follow health and safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
Teamwork & Communication:
Communicate effectively with other team members.
Follow opening and closing procedures for the bar as scheduled.
Requirements:
Ability to take and serve food orders efficiently.
Strong multitasking and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
RSA & RCG
Food Handler’s Certification.
Familiarity with POS systems.
