THE ROLE
Ora Banda Mining will be welcoming an experienced Safety Advisor to the team. The role will be performed from the Davyhurst Gold Mine in the eastern goldfields. The 8/6 roster is available FIFO from Perth or DIDO from Kalgoorlie. The Ora Banda buzz is real, this is an opportunity not to be missed!
* Ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance
* Conduct Safety inspections
* Assistand support various departments to develop and implement safe work procedures
* Conduct SafeAct Observations
* Complete safety data input into the required safety systems
* Monitor safety inspections and work to deadlines
* Support and assist the Safety Emergency Services Officers and Training Advisors
* Any other duties that may be required on request from the HST Manager
* Support the projects critical risk management process
* Support the HST manager in the achievement of department KPIs
* Contribute to the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Mine Safety Management System
* Ensure accurate record keeping and reporting of WHS related data
* Participate in investigations and follow up on the outcomes for all OHSE related matters
* Monitor the OHS compliance register to ensure that items are actioned in a timely and appropriate manner
* Design and implement safety related training to be delivered to employees and contractors, including but not limited to Hazards identification, Job hazard analysis
ABOUT YOU
* 2yrs+ experience in a similar role with an operating underground gold mine and processing plant
* Conversant with and understand the obligation of Work Health Safety Act 2020 and accompanying regulations
* WA Class "C" manual driver's licence
* Certificate IV in Work Health Safety
* Excellent consultation skills
* Mine site emergency qualifications and willing to join the sites Emergency response Team
