One of our key clients is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join the finance team.
This role will support a range of accounting activities including general ledger management, month-end closing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure all accounting operations are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Support the maintenance of the general ledger, including preparation of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
Handle credit card reconciliations and ensure timely reimbursement of employee expenses related to business activities.
Prepare and process supplier payments within designated timelines.
Support the preparation of monthly JV recharge.
Maintain accurate transaction records and assist with document organisation in compliance with internal control procedures.
Create and manage vendor profiles in SAP, including registration of bank details in line with company policies.
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecast reports.
Support GST reconciliations and internal/external audit processes.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and perform data analysis as required.
Provide administrative and accounting support to the Finance team as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
2+ experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
Experience working with SAP preferred.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including the ability to manage and analyse large datasets.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
