Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join the team at Epworth Geelong as a part-time Patient Liaison Officer. You will be responsible for the management of patient and carer complaints and will report directly to the quality manager.
Responsibilities
Ensuring that complaints are handled in a timely, consistent, and empathetic manner across the site.
Initiating early intervention with patients, caregivers, and staff.
Providing thorough, timely, and appropriate investigation of feedback.
Ensuring appropriate coordination and escalation of patient complaints to relevant internal and/or external parties.
Contributing to prevention strategies and debriefing for staff and doctors.
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail.
Strong customer service focus.
Ability to work with a diverse range of people both internally and externally.
Highly developed negotiation skills and experience in dispute resolution.
Sound knowledge of hospital systems and patient care processes is highly desirable.
