The Opportunity
Our Western Port Manufacturing facility is looking for a Rotables Maintenance Service Coordinator in our Assets team based in Hastings, Vic. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products Portfolio, we have four major manufacturing sites at Western Port which operate 24 x 7 and deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to export and domestic customers.
In this role, you will be responsible for the facilitation of an effective and efficient repair service on repairable items from their respective areas of the plant, utilising asset maintainers and external providers as required. You will drive improvement in the specification, scheduling, resource utilisation, project management and execution of the work.
What Will You Do?
* contribute to the preparation of the budget and development of the asset management plan
* coordinate and schedule the execution of maintenance repairs
* negotiating with suppliers and managing all repair work within budget
* liaise with other Maintenance Service Coordinators, Suppliers, Inventory Management Officers and end-users
* ensure all maintenance procedures and tasks are developed and executed using appropriate safety standards
More About You
Key to this role is your maintenance experience and relevant trade qualifications in Fitting and Turning or Mechanical Engineering.
You will also have the following competencies:
* ability to source suppliers who can provide a cost-effective service without compromising on quality
* effective communication and influencing skills with both internal staff and external service providers
* ability to work autonomously and as part of the wider team
* competency using computer systems including SAP
