Role Responsibilities:
* Act as head chef in the absence of the Head Chef, leading a team of over 15 in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and execute seasonal menus highlighting the freshest local ingredients.
* Lead and inspire passionate cooks to maintain high culinary standards and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
* Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
* Monitor inventory levels, manage food costs, and contribute to menu planning and development.
* Uphold health and safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume, quality-driven restaurant environment (minimum 12 months).
* Strong culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative dishes using seasonal ingredients.
* Leadership abilities with the capacity to motivate and mentor kitchen staff.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment.
* A commitment to sustainability and supporting local food producers.
