Based at our Melbourne, Burwood Campus Full-time and continuing in the Deakin Business School Level B $108,804 - $128,689 17% Superannuation (pro rata, part time) Applications are currently being accepted exclusively from our current and former sessional academic cohorts at Deakin. The Faculty of Business & Law is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching, learning, creativity, social development, and groundbreaking research and discovery. We work closely with industry partners and government bodies to translate discoveries into real-word impact. This role will specifically be working within the Deakin Business School. As a Lecturer in Marketing, you will: Lead unit teaching teams and work collaboratively with other unit teaching teams in the course to develop effective unit curricula and learning resources (including through unit leadership roles). Assist in applying industry and/or research practice into student learning experiences, success, engagement and resources. Adopt innovation in curriculum design at the unit level and deliver learner-centric, research-informed teaching practices across different levels / modes of delivery. Develop effective assessment tasks and rubrics at unit level. Provide clear assessment criteria and timely feedback to learners to demonstrate learning outcomes. Monitor and adapt assessment practices to improve learning outcomes. Assist in integrating new pedagogical research across all aspects of education. Advance knowledge within their specific fields/areas of teaching, scholarship and pedagogical research activity. Initiate, design and undertake high‑quality research, scholarship and creative activities that generate impactful outcomes within the discipline. Lead and support competitive research funding applications while building a strong national reputation through high‑quality, impactful research and industry‑focused outcomes. To be successful, you’ll have: Essential PhD in a relevant discipline and/or other relevant qualifications and experience Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs, including innovative curriculum design Emerging reputation in research and scholarship through publications and/or exhibitions and/or success in obtaining external research funding. Ability to contribute to communities through research. Capacity to contribute to leadership of research and administration. Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues. Desirable Demonstrated expertise in either marketing technology or consumer behaviour.
