At Herron Todd White, our People & Culture team are strategic partners driving the success of a national leader in property advisory. Under the leadership of our Chief People Officer (CPO), we are a cohesive national team working to professionalise our people frameworks and deliver on a clear, ambitious People Plan.

We are looking for a People & Culture Business Partner to join our Operations division. This is a unique "hybrid" role where you will be the face of P&C for our Ops leaders, split 50/50 between end-to-end recruitment and hands‐on employee relations.

We are moving at a rapid pace. We are currently building our platforms and process foundations from the ground up. While this means dealing with manual processes and needing to pivot as the business evolves, it also offers a level of professional development you won't find in a "business as usual" environment. You aren't just following a handbook; you are helping us write it.

This role is ideal for a practitioner who is confident working as the sole P&C presence in their geography. You will have the autonomy to drive local results while being supported by a wider team of specialists.

The Role

Your time will be balanced between finding the right people for our culture and ensuring our leaders are supported to manage them effectively. As an operational role, we need 3 - 4 days per week in the office as a minimum.

* Recruitment & Talent (50%): Following the strategic direction of our Head of Talent & Careers, you will lead end‐to‐end candidate attraction, sourcing and selection for the Operations team. You'll be a key part of the central Talent & Careers community, ensuring recruitment consistency as we scale our national talent acquisition frameworks.
* Performance & Advisory: You will partner directly with Operations leaders to guide them through the employee lifecycle. This includes providing advice on performance coaching, goal setting, and supporting the annual remuneration cycle.
* Employee Relations: Provide sound, practical advice on non‐complex ER issues, ensuring compliance with Modern Awards and the National Employment Standards (NES).
* Foundation Building: You will need to be comfortable with change and manual workflows. You'll help us refine our processes, identifying opportunities to simplify how we work as we grow the business.

About You

You are a pragmatic, "roll‐up‐your‐sleeves" professional. You thrive in environments where you need to think on your feet and take ownership of your patch.

What you'll bring

* Autonomy & Resilience: You are comfortable being the primary point of contact for P&C in your region. You can work independently and aren't deterred by manual tasks or shifting priorities.
* Adaptability: You can change direction quickly and is happy to contribute to building a growing P&C function.
* Collaborative Mindset: You enjoy being part of a national team, taking functional direction from the P&C team while delivering for your Operations stakeholders.
* In‐house Recruitment Expertise: You must have experience in volume / bulk recruitment and be comfortable project managing recruitment assignments as a major focus of your role, with a focus on candidate experience and quality outcomes.
* Technical Grounding: A solid understanding of the Australian employment relations landscape.
