RSPCA Queensland is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Partner to drive safe practices, reduce risk and support injury management across our diverse and dedicated teams. This is an opportunity to influence a positive safety culture and make a real impact across shelters, clinics, retail stores and community outreach programs.
About the Role
As our new Safety Partner, you'll work closely with leaders and teams across Queensland to embed practical WHS solutions and ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of staff, volunteers, customers and animals.
Key responsibilities
* Drive safety awareness and support safe work practices across diverse sites and functions
* Lead incident investigations and identify effective corrective actions
* Collaborate with managers to assess hazards and implement practical safety controls
* Support fire safety, emergency management and hazardous substance protocols
* Coordinate return-to-work programs in partnership with the Injury Management Advisor
* Analyse WHS data and provide clear reporting to inform decision-making
* Contribute to safety culture initiatives and People & Culture projects
About you
* Tertiary qualifications in WHS, injury management or a related discipline
* 3+ years' experience in a generalist safety advisor or partner role
* ICAM or Cert IV in Government Investigations (or similar)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Experience in WHS and injury management across diverse workplaces
* Confidence working across multiple sites and engaging with leaders at all levels
