About the Position
This Fire Safety Officer role is responsible for managing fire safety and compliance issues, providing specialist advice on fire regulations, and supporting the implementation of fire risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in managing fire safety and compliance issues.
* Provide specialist advice on fire safety regulations.
* Support the implementation of fire risk assessments.
* Liaise with directorates to ensure safety standards are met.
* Contribute to fire safety training and awareness.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A completed Fire Safety Officer (Health) Accreditation Course, in accordance with NSW Health Department Circular No 2010/24.
* Experience in the healthcare industry.
* A Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training (TAE40116) or equivalent.
* A current NSW driver's license.
* Demonstrated experience in operating and maintaining fire safety requirements.
* Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft software proficiency.
* Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
* Good knowledge and experience of NSW Workplace Health & Safety Legislation.
