Design & Build Recruitment have partnered with a multi-award winning boutique architecture & build firm specialising in custom new builds and major renovations in Sydney's beautiful suburbs.
The close-knit team has grown organically in the industry and is seeking a Building Designer to specialise in architectural design and drafting services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with clients to understand their design requirements and preferences.
* Develop detailed building designs and architectural plans using Revit software.
* Prepare documentation for council submissions, including development applications and building permits.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
* Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
* Provide creative and practical solutions to design challenges.
* Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that arise.
* Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate into design work.
Qualifications:
* Degree or diploma in Building Design, Architecture, or a related field.
* 3+ years' experience in a similar position.
* Proficiency in Revit software.
* Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes including DA / CDC / CC.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Creative flair with a keen eye for detail.
* Prior experience in residential design is highly desirable.
