About The Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Paralegal to support the General Counsel and broader Harcourts team by assisting with franchise compliance and legal administration across Australia.

This is a permanent, full-time role based at our Eagle Farm, Brisbane head office, offering a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build their legal career, gain exposure to franchise law and corporate governance, and develop their skills within a supportive and professional environment.

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this role plays an important part in ensuring that franchise agreements, legal documentation, and company records are accurately maintained and compliant with legislative and company requirements.

* Preparing franchise agreements, disclosure documents, and related legal documentation
* Managing and maintaining the databases, records and legal tracking systems
* Monitoring franchise agreement expiries and coordinating renewal processes
* Drafting correspondence and franchise documents
* Supporting company secretarial record keeping and documentation processes
* Maintaining legal templates and document management systems
* Monitoring and triaging legal inboxes and coordinating responses to queries
* Liaising with internal teams and franchisees regarding legal matters and documentation
* Assisting with legal reporting, compliance tracking, and project workIdentifying and contributing to opportunities to improve legal processes and workflows.

About You

You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and motivated to develop your career in a legal support role. You take pride in producing accurate work, enjoy problem solving, and are confident communicating with a range of stakeholders.

You thrive in an environment where you can take ownership of your work, learn quickly, and contribute to improving processes and systems.

Qualifications

* Previous experience in a paralegal, legal administration, or professional services support role is essential
* Previous experience in the real estate industry is desirable but not essential
* Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* Confidence using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Ability to learn and work with document management and database systems
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* A proactive approach with the ability to take initiative and work independently
* Sound judgement and the ability to maintain confidentiality
* Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset.
