The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality food, managing the kitchen, and maintaining exceptional standards of hygiene.
* Food preparation, seasoning, and cooking in accordance with health regulations
* Following recipes and operating commercial kitchen equipment
* Exercising portion control and monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation
* Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of Australian food safety and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
* Stock and inventory management, plating, and presentation skills
* Demonstrating a broad range of culinary techniques and ability to train staff as required
About You:
* Possession of relevant qualifications in Commercial Cookery
* Relevant experience in a premium restaurant or banquet kitchen
* Passion and creative approach to delivering exceptional cuisine
* Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required within a rotating roster
* Well-presented, punctual, and reliable individual with own transport
* Ability to assist in menu planning and development, maintain a clean and organized section, and demonstrate a good understanding of workflow and structure
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
