Overview 
Join our onsite Maintenance team as a full-time Electrician. You will cover the day shift across our busy manufacturing plant and commercial facilities, focusing on preventative maintenance and service breakdowns to keep our plant and equipment functional at all times. 
What you’ll do — Responsibilities 
- Respond to equipment and services breakdowns. 
- Ensure all services and equipment are in working condition at the start of each day. 
- Accurately record maintenance and breakdown times. 
- Ensure equipment and services availability for production. 
- Provide maintenance support to the entire site. 
- Update daily and weekly maintenance schedules to the Operations Manager and GM. 
- Complies with company and legislative requirements with respect to OHS. 
- Assist management to comply with OH&S; duty of care. 
- Supervise work activities to ensure protected working practices are adopted. 
- Assist in HIRAC hazard identification, risk and control. 
- Manage aspects of the Food Safety and Environmental systems as documented in the Quality Assurance Program. 
- Share information and ideas, and actively encourage participation from others. 
- Carry out preventative maintenance on all plant, equipment and services. 
- Complete work orders using the MEX CMMS system. 
- Liaise with accredited third party contractors who provide approved, specified and specialist works and services; monitor competence and completion of works and manage attendance onsite. 
- Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on schedule and work requests are completed within required time. 
- Support the onsite Maintenance team, with regular check-ins with the National Facilities Manager (MEL based). 
What you’ll need — Qualifications 
- Demonstrated success in a similar role. 
- Minimum Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician. 
- Welding or fabrication experience (desirable but not essential). 
- Experience using maintenance management CMMS software (ideally MEX). 
- Experience with PLCs and programming. 
- Proven track record in achieving KPIs. 
- Demonstrated experience as a trades person within a manufacturing facility. 
- Detailed understanding of food production processes and equipment. 
- Analytical and problem-solving skills (desirable). 
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work within strict time frames (desirable). 
- Ability to clearly communicate with operational staff. 
- Identifying process improvements and providing feedback (desirable).
