As a Senior Solutions Architect within CommSec, Australia's leading retail broker, you'll help shape the architecture that supports our broking and investment platforms, ensuring they remain secure, scalable, and customer-centric .
Your Impact
This role is central to our strategy of being architecture-led, delivering safe, sound, and secure technology outcomes that drive CommSec forward. You'll work across a diverse portfolio of products and services including CRM, Assisted Customer Channels, and data architecture, enabling seamless investor engagement and operational efficiency.
You'll also play a key role in shaping our customer data strategy, enabling a single view of customer, improving data integrity, and supporting advanced analytics and reporting capabilities. Your work will directly contribute to CommSec's digital transformation and customer-centric strategy.
Your Team
You'll join the Business Bank S olution Architecture team, collaborating closely with product, engineering, and operations teams. Our team is r esponsible for ena bling Comm Sec's mar ket-leading position in retail broking, with a strong emphasis on data-driven architecture, CRM integration, and omnichannel customer support.
What Success Looks Like
* Architecting solutions that support CommSec's core capabilities such as trading platforms, CRM systems, customer service channels, and data platforms.
* Designing CRM and Assisted Channel solutions to enable seamless customer journeys across digital, mobile, contact centre, and agent-assisted platforms.
* Drive the adoption of microservice architecture and modern integration patterns across our trading and client facing platforms.
* Leading CRM strategy development and integration into enterprise architecture roadmaps, aligning with digital and omni-channel priorities.
* Implementing Master Data Management (MDM) solutions to improve customer data integrity and enable accurate reporting and decision-making.
* Translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient solution designs aligned with reference architectures.
* Providing architectural governance across the solution delivery lifecycle, ensuring alignment with CommBank's technology strategy.
* Partnering with stakeholders to evaluate solution options and articulate trade-offs in terms of business value, technical feasibility, and long-term sustainability.
* Supporting vendor selection and integration, particularly for CRM platforms, data services, and trading systems.
* Coaching engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business demands and customer expectations.
We're Interested in Hearing from People Who Have:
* Deep experience in solution architecture within financial services, especially in broking, CRM, or customer service platforms.
* Strong understanding of architectural principles and frameworks, ideally with industry certifications.
* Experience with SQL /NoSQL databases and data modelling for financial transactions.
* Familiarity with event-driven architectures (e.g., Apache Kafka) and cloud-native services (Azure/AWS).
* Proven ability to operate in Agile environments and cross-functional teams.
* A practical mindset with a passion for solving complex business problems through technology.
