We are recruiting a Painting Apprentice on behalf of a member to join their growing team. Working alongside qualified and skilled painters, you will gain valuable hands‐on experience, mentoring, and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship.
Responsibilities
* Carry out measurements and basic calculations
* Read and interpret plans and specifications
* Erect and maintain trestle and plank systems
* Handle painting and decorating materials
* Use painting and decorating tools and equipment
* Remove and replace doors, windows, and components
* Prepare surfaces for painting
* Apply paint using brushes and rollers
* Apply textured coating finishes by brush, roller, or spray
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for an apprenticeship or traineeship, you must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or have full working rights in Australia.
About You
* Genuine interest in undertaking a Painting Apprenticeship
* Possess a White Card, or the ability to obtain one as soon as possible
* Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour
* Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
* Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
* Able to follow instructions and take direction
* Trustworthy and motivated
Preferred (but not essential): Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle, Previous painting or construction-related work experience.
