Opportunity
The Lawyer, Legal Information and Advice Division (LIAD) will provide legal advice and support in complex areas of the law, assist LIAD lawyers with handling more complex legal matters, and, as necessary, assist with planning, coordinating and delivering training and upskilling programs, including resource development.
The Lawyer, LIAD will, in consultation with Team Leaders, assist with developing and implementing guidelines for the provision of Legal Task Discrete Assistance and provide this assistance to clients where appropriate.
You will also have the opportunity to attend and present at external education sessions and networking activities, and take part in multiple programs across the division.
Salary Range
$90,080 - $101,620 per annum plus 12% superannuation and leave loading.
As a not-for-profit organisation, Legal Services offers attractive salary sacrifice arrangements, including up to $15,900 pre-tax Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) per year for general living expenses.
Term of Employment
12 month temporary contract at the LSC2 classification level.
What You Need for Success
* Hold a Category C Practising Certificate or be currently eligible to apply for one.
* Be admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of South Australia and the High Court of Australia.
* Have experience providing advice on various areas of the law generally relevant to Legal Services’ clients and staff.
* Demonstrate ability to deliver high‑quality, concise advice by assessing problems logically, thoroughly and reliably with due skill and diligence.
* Demonstrate ability to work effectively both individually and as a member of a team, showing commitment to team and organisational goals.
