Description
* Deliver accurate and timely financial and statutory reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulations
* Prepare and review financial statements, journals, reconciliations, and monthly/year-end reports
* Support internal and external audit processes and implement recommendations to strengthen financial governance
* Ensure compliance with taxation requirements including BAS, FBT, and TPAR reporting
* Contribute to asset management accounting, including capitalisation, depreciation, disposals, and reconciliations
* Maintain data integrity across financial and asset systems and support strategic financial planning
Profile
About you:
* Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
* CPA/CA qualified or working towards membership
* Extensive experience in financial accounting, ideally with exposure to local government, public sector or complex NFP environment
* Strong understanding of asset management accounting and internal control principles
* Proficient in financial systems, spreadsheets, and data analysis
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
