We are seeking an experienced Insurance Specialist to establish and manage our in‐house insurance function. This role will take full ownership of the company's insurance portfolio, working directly with insurers and removing reliance on external brokers.
You will be responsible for managing all property and business insurance policies, leading renewals, negotiating terms and premiums, and ensuring the company maintains appropriate and cost‐effective coverage. The role also involves reviewing total insurance spend, identifying efficiencies, and providing clear reporting to finance. You will oversee claims from end to end and maintain accurate policy and claims records.
Duties
* Manage all corporate insurance policies, including property and business coverage.
* Liaise directly with insurers for placements, renewals, and negotiations.
* Negotiate policy terms, premiums, and coverage conditions.
* Review total insurance spend and identify cost‐saving opportunities.
* Ensure adequate coverage and identify gaps in risk protection.
* Oversee and manage claims from notification through to resolution.
* Maintain accurate records of policies, premiums, and claims.
* Provide regular reporting and insights on insurance costs to finance.
* Support the development of an internal insurance function and processes.
The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of relevant industry experience with a strong background in commercial insurance or risk management, with the ability to engage directly with insurers and drive favourable outcomes.
A degree is essential for this role.
You should be commercially minded, detail‐oriented, and comfortable operating in a standalone or small team environment.
