About The Role
This organisation is looking for an experienced APS6 Senior Procurement Officer professional to join a high-performing team supporting complex, high-risk and high-value procurement activities across the full procurement lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver end-to-end procurement activities including planning, sourcing, evaluation, and contract closure
* Provide expert advice on procurement strategy, governance, and compliance requirements
* Support development of tender documentation, procurement plans, and market approaches
* Lead or support evaluation processes and contribute to robust probity practices
* Undertake contract negotiation support and transition to contract management
* Develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across business areas
* Conduct risk assessments and support mitigation strategies across procurement activityEnsure accurate record keeping in line with legislative and policy requirements
* Assist in quality assurance and probity reporting activities
* Provide guidance on procurement mechanisms, including market research and spend planning
* Contribute to continuous improvement of procurement processes and outcomes
* Support and guide small teams or workstreams where required
Skills & Experience Required
* Demonstrated experience in procurement, contract management, or related disciplines
* Strong understanding of procurement frameworks, ideally Commonwealth Procurement Rules
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment
* Experience in tender processes, evaluation, and contract negotiation
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Ability to interpret policy, legislation, and procurement governance requirements
* Experience in risk management and probity in procurement contexts
* High attention to detail with strong record-keeping and documentation skills
* Leadership capability or experience supervising small teams (desirable)
* Certificate IV in Procurement and Contract Management (highly regarded)
