Job Description
About the opportunity
The Dean (Research) leads research within Griffith Health and develops strategies and plans to achieve the group's targets and the University's Research Plan including building research excellence within the group. Reporting to the Pro Vice Chancellor of Griffith Health, the Dean (Research) works closely with the Dean (Academic), Dean (Learning and Teaching), Research Centre/Institute Directors and Heads of School, and Deputy Heads of School (Research) in the group to integrate research, learning and staffing strategies in addition to developing and fostering engagement with industry, government and communities.
About you
As Dean (Research), you will be an established research leader with an international reputation and highly developed skills in building both internal and external relationships and an ability to develop and lead a holistic strategy across a diverse academic group. You will have outstanding influencing skills and the ability to develop high quality research training programs and build research capability within a performance-focused environment. You will be known for your collaborative approach and ability to successfully lead and facilitate multidisciplinary research projects.
