Now Hiring: Two Senior-Level Opportunities Making a Statewide Impact NSW Government – Two Senior Contract Roles Location: Mascot | Hybrid: Tuesday–Thursday in-office, Monday & Friday WFH Contract until 31 December 2025 | Potential Extension Rate: $70–$80 per hour Super (PAYG) We are partnering with a forward-thinking NSW Government directorate to recruit two senior professionals to support executive leadership and deliver high-impact projects across regional and Aboriginal communities. These roles offer a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful change through operational leadership and strategic project delivery. Role 1: Executive Officer – Operations and Strategy A hands-on leadership support role focused on operational excellence Working closely with the Executive Director, this position acts as a trusted advisor and operational leader, helping to manage the day-to-day coordination of a fast-paced Directorate with over 60 staff across NSW. You’ll support strategic alignment, internal capability building, and continuous improvement in systems and processes. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-level operational, strategic, and executive support Coordinate ministerial, financial, and team-level requests and reporting Lead process improvement and internal system development Support workforce planning, recruitment, and internal communications Foster cohesion and collaboration across regional and central teams You will bring: 5 years in operational leadership, project support, or executive coordination roles Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate with initiative Experience in government or not-for-profit settings highly regarded A practical, solutions-focused approach and high attention to detail Cultural capability or experience working with Aboriginal teams or communities Role 2: Senior Project Officer – Strategic and Place-Based Projects Delivering community-first projects across NSW with Aboriginal focus This role will lead or support the design and delivery of strategic projects across emergency management, place-based programs, and Aboriginal community engagement. Working collaboratively with internal and regional teams, you’ll scope and drive initiatives that meet community needs and reflect government priorities.
