We have vacancies across all three shifts, candidates are welcome to apply for the shift that best suits them.

* Day Shift: 05:30 – 13:30

* Afternoon Shift: 13:30 – 21:30

* Night Shift: 21:30 – 05:30

About Us:

MainStream Aquaculture Queensland is a rapidly growing aquaculture business that produces premium and sustainably farmed Barramundi (Lates calcarifer) in the Cassowary Coast. We currently have exciting opportunities available for motivated and reliable candidates to join our dedicated team across our Martyville and Mourilyan farms. Based in the heart of the Cassowary Coast, you'll enjoy a tropical lifestyle surrounded by World Heritage rainforest, the Great Barrier Reef, and one of Queensland's most iconic regional communities.

We are looking for self-motivated, reliable and passionate candidates with the ability to handle a diverse, fast-paced workload. You will work closely with the management and operations teams to ensure the smooth delivery of all aspects of our fish production operations.

Technician Responsibilities include:

* Performing routine water, environmental and fish health testing.

* Feeding and maintaining healthy fish stocks.

* Executing daily production and routine maintenance plans.

* Assisting with fish harvesting activity.

* Maintaining data, documentation and reporting to a high standard.

* Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

* Pond monitoring and oversight of farm operations

* Operation and general maintenance of farm plant and equipment, including the completion of necessary checklists.

* Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures, Food Safety and Workplace Health & Safety Systems and quality assurance regulations ensuring a high standard of operation.

Professional Requirements:

* Team orientation to work.

* Effective oral and written communicator.

* A strong sense of personal accountability, responsibility, and teamwork.

* Flexibility to work on varied tasks and rosters, including weekend shifts.

* Australian resident or currently hold a valid visa with work rights in Australia.

Desirable Requirements:

* Reside or willing to reside in the local or surrounding area.

* Current C class manual licence and reliable vehicle to attend sites.

* HR truck Licence.

* Forklift Licence.

* Previous experience operating machinery.

* Previous experience in the aquaculture industry.
