This position in an opportunity to join the Ankura (Sydney) Transactions, Turnaround & Restructuring Business - one of seven practices focused on client delivery services across the Firm.

When a company is experiencing financial or operational challenges our Transactions, Turnaround & Restructuring practice works with management and key stakeholders to provide the level of stability required to successfully navigate the issues at hand. By quickly assessing the situation in order to develop and implement a bespoke plan, we provide strategic advice to companies' boards, investors, creditors and other stakeholders. Our interventions maximise recoveries among stakeholders and help our clients manage complexity.

Ankura's APAC TT&R practice launched in 2019 with the recruitment of an initial group of 4 senior practitioners from a variety of industry leading transactions and restructuring firms. This team complements 300+ restructuring professionals globally and a further 1,700 professionals across the wider Ankura business.

With ambitious growth aspirations, we are recruiting an ambitious Associate to our team. We are looking for someone who is entrepreneurially minded and wants to progress their career in the Transactions and Corporate Restructuring market. You'll work alongside experienced professionals on live and interesting client projects. You will be doing real work with real clients - so be prepared to get stuck in.

- Execute critical project deliverables to ensure these objectives are met on-time, with the highest quality.
- Bring ideas, new opportunities, and unique ways to solve challenges and reach our shared goals.

You'll work on real client projects and have access to ongoing training and development opportunities, some of which might lead to further qualifications such as CA or CFA. Above all, you'll be supported to grow and take on more responsibility in your work as your career progresses.

**Requirements**:
- Undergraduate degree in Commerce / Business with a major in accounting and / or finance.- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- _i.e._, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).- A quick learner with a strong work ethic, capable of working at pace and performing in an unstructured environment.- A demonstrated interest in Transactions, Turnaround & Restructuring.- Understands basic Restructuring concepts (operational and financial),- Understands basic valuation concepts at a high level (market multiples, DCF, etc.),- Strong quantitative, financial, and analytical skills with a willingness to study towards further qualifications (CA, CFA) as your career progresses.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.- Prior investment banking or financial internship experience (M&A or an Industry team), Leverage Finance or Restructuring is desirable, but not essential.
