Overview
The National Disability Insurance Scheme Offender Services Team conducts comprehensive discipline specific assessments and engages with internal and external stakeholders to support people in custody living with a disability to gain access to the National Disability Insurance Scheme. The Psychologist conducts comprehensive clinical assessment and recommendations to prisoners in the custody of the Department of Corrections, who are suspected of having a disability. They also provide professional input into appropriate management and treatment plans, and provide input into the development of policy and practice, as well as peer consultation, training, and professional support to colleagues as required.
