Centre Director – Busy Bees at The Park
Location: Canberra International Airport, ACT
Licensed Capacity: 174 places
Pay Rate: $50.45 – $53.67 per hour (above-award, experience dependent)
Busy Bees at The Park is a large, purpose-built early learning service located at Canberra Airport. We are seeking an experienced and values-driven Centre Director to lead this high-capacity service, drive performance, and foster a positive, high-quality learning environment for children, families, and team members.
About the Role
As Centre Director, you will have full operational responsibility for the service, leading a large multidisciplinary team while ensuring compliance, quality outcomes, and strong occupancy performance.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading, mentoring, and developing a large team of educators and leaders
* Managing centre operations including compliance, staffing, budgets, and occupancy
* Driving quality outcomes in line with the NQS and EYLF
* Building strong relationships with families, community partners, and internal stakeholders
* Working closely with the Area Director and national support teams to achieve business and quality goals
What You’ll Need
* Diploma or Bachelor qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent ACECQA-approved qualification)
* Current ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
* Demonstrated experience as a Centre Director or Service Manager in long day care
* Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and compliance requirements
* Proven leadership capability with a focus on team culture, performance, and engagement
* Confidence managing large services and complex operations
