Job Title: Visitor Services Officer
This is a challenging role that plays a critical part in providing safe and enjoyable experiences for visitors to the remote far northwest.
* Provide safety information about permitted activities and reserve rules.
* Manage visitor permits, fees, and permissions.
* Offer expert advice on recreational opportunities, scenic attractions, and features.
* Perform administrative tasks, including stock management and inventory control.
The position is based at our field centre on Tasmania's Northwest Coast.
This area boasts rich Aboriginal heritage, pioneering history, and unique endemic species protected under state and federal legislation.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Previous experience in visitor services or tourism.
* Awareness of business administration procedures and practices.
* Ability to work independently in remote locations.
