Leading a Strong Safety Culture
We are seeking an accomplished Safety & Training Advisor to join our team in Moranbah and drive a robust safety culture. This role is instrumental in ensuring legislative compliance and promoting a healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with leaders to implement and continually improve health & safety processes, including risk assessments, audits, inspections, hazard reporting, accident/incident investigations, work access permits, and behavioural safety observations.
* Conduct and support safety meetings, site inspections, and other activities to reinforce safety standards.
* Support supervisors to ensure employees adhere to the site's Health Management System and relevant legislation.
* Contribute to safety investigations by reviewing reports and identifying robust corrective and preventative actions.
* Provide clear and consistent communication with stakeholders regarding safety obligations, plans, and performance improvement.
* Drive targeted safety improvement projects in response to incident findings, workforce feedback, and business needs.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* A Certificate IV in Occupational/Workplace Health & Safety or equivalent qualification.
* Demonstrated experience in risk assessment facilitation and proficiency in QLD Coal WHS legislation.
* Strong knowledge of contractor compliance platforms – Intelics (desirable).
* A valid Standard 11 & Coal Board Medical.
