Medical Emergency Services Officer / MESO / FIFO Perth – Max Term / Casual
Fire and Safety Australia continues to grow in Western Australia and is actively seeking multiple experienced MESOs for Max Term or casual contracts with a minimum commitment of six months and the potential to transition to permanent roles. Successful candidates will have at least 2 years of industry experience, preferably with exposure to Rio Tinto sites.
Candidates will be guaranteed a minimum of 14 shifts per month, with Max Term contracts and casual availability. Roster patterns are flexible with work at a variety of sites throughout the Pilbara. Positions are FIFO from Perth.
Being located in Western Australia is essential for these roles.
Responsibilities
* Respond to incidents and accidents on remote mining sites.
* Provide emergency medical care and first aid to injured personnel on‐site.
* Conduct regular health assessments and monitor employee wellbeing.
* Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
* Collaborate with site management to implement health and safety protocols.
* Participate in emergency response drills and training sessions.
* Ensure medical equipment and supplies are adequately stocked and maintained.
* Assist in the development and delivery of health education programs for employees.
* Work solo and independently when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Cert IV in Healthcare (Ambulance) or equivalent medical qualification.
* Cert III in Mine and Emergency Response and Rescue.
* Vertical / Confined Space Rescue / Fire Team Operations experience.
* Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing.
* Current HR/MR driver's licence.
* 4WD qualification.
* White Card.
* Current CPR / First Aid certification.
* Current police clearance (no older than one year).
* Ability to work solo and independently.
* Living in Western Australia.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a mining or industrial environment.
* Willingness to work on a FIFO roster.
