About the Role
The Participation Assistant will assist students with disabilities to fully participate in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) learning environment. This may involve working closely with students, teachers, and support staff to ensure that all students have equal access to education and training opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting students with disabilities to access educational programs and services;
* Providing assistance with daily living tasks and mobility needs;
* Collaborating with teaching staff to develop individualized support plans for students;
* Participating in regular team meetings to discuss student progress and provide feedback.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
