Administration Support Officer - Maternal Child Health Services

We are seeking an experienced Administration Support Officer to join our team in providing efficient and effective administrative services to support the achievement of organisational objectives and service improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the image of the council to both internal and external customers, supporting team leaders and officers to enable effective time management and prioritisation of workloads, and maintaining records and producing reports as required.

* Providing an effective customer service and point of contact for all client and customer enquiries and receiving, assessing and initiating action on inquiries and requests.

The role also involves managing the central booking system, Child Development Information System (CDIS), for each of the Maternal and Child Health centres, processing birth notifications, coordinating MCH Nurse and Centre calendars, uploading client test results and other documents into CDIS, assisting with Maternal and Child Health reporting requirements, reviewing service brochures and updating as required, administering referrals and bookings, coordinating meetings and sessions, and overseeing nurse training and conference bookings.

The ideal candidate will possess a certificate in Business Administration or relevant experience in a clerical/administration/reception role, have an understanding of services provided by Council's Maternal and Child Health, Immunisation and Well-being, Health and Culture unit, and demonstrate highly developed computer skills and ability to support other Council Officers in IT systems.

They will also possess excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Prior experience in a clinical setting and current Level First Aid certification are desirable. The successful candidate must also hold a Current Working with Children's Check and National Police Check.
