Our Gold Coast law firm client is seeking an Operations Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with exposure to the legal industry, who enjoys variety and is looking to build a long-term career in legal operations and accounts.
Working closely with the General Manager and Finance Manager, this role offers genuine responsibility, development, and the chance to become a trusted 2IC within the operations team.
Under the guidance of the General Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the firm's day-to-day financial and operational functions. Your duties will include:
* Providing accurate and timely support to the General Manager and Finance Manager
* Acting as 2IC within the operations team
* Trust account reporting and reconciliations
* Managing accounts payable and receivable
* Assisting with end-of-month processes
* Maintaining and updating firm precedents and policies
* Liaising with external providers and third parties on behalf of the operations team
Who are we looking for?
You'll be someone who thrives in a mixed role and enjoys being involved across the business. Ideally, you will have:
* 2+ years' experience within a legal environment in a similar position
* Exposure to trust accounting and QLS guidelines
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
* The ability to work autonomously while also being a strong team player
* Experience with MYOB (ideal but not essential)
