Position Overview
The Workplace Lead is a key contributor to delivering innovative, efficient, and sustainable workplace solutions across Shell's corporate Real Estate portfolio. This role partners with Facilities Management (FM), WorkWELL@Shell, and Transactions & Capital Projects (TCP) teams to design and implement strategies that optimise space utilisation, enhance operational performance, and elevate employee experience. The role leads workplace initiatives, including minor works, space planning, change management, and communications, ensuring alignment with Shell's global standards, branding, and sustainability objectives. Acting as a trusted advisor, the role supports business continuity and transformation through strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders/teams, Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) partners, and external consultants to deliver integrated workplace solutions.
* Provide data-driven space planning solutions tailored to user requirements and operational needs.
* Lead the delivery of minor workplace projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with Shell branding, WorkWELL@Shell principles, and sustainability goals.
* Conduct regular workplace assessments to ensure functionality, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.
Communications & Change Management
* Develop and execute change management and communication strategies using Shell's Workplace Change Methodology and Programme Framework.
* Manage the Real Estate Australia annual communication plan, ensuring timely and consistent stakeholder engagement.
* Partner with Corporate Relations to deliver compliant, platform-appropriate content for internal communications.
* Oversee AppSpace digital signage, enhance engagement on Viva community pages, and produce monthly newsletters to drive awareness and adoption of workplace initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement & Innovation
* Act as a key liaison for business units impacted by workplace projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
* Champion innovative workplace solutions that improve space efficiency and employee experience.
* Provide coaching and guidance to Workplace Experience Co‐ordinators both operationally as required and also as part of their personal growth and development plans.
* Prepare and present high-quality presentations, reports, and decision‐making packs for senior stakeholders.
* Respond to RFIs and contribute to cost/value optimisation activities for workplace projects.
What we're looking for
* Demonstrated experience in the delivery of workplace solutions, with a track record of effectively managing concurrent minor projects and change programs.
* Experience in developing and executing internal communication strategies.
* Proficiency in workplace design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent).
* Knowledge of sustainability principles and circular economy practices in workplace design.
